Ardmore Advertising commissioned us to build 3 Stena Line vessels in 3D for a variety of print uses. This project was modeled and textured in C4D over a month using a series of photographs and some basic overhead plans.

Bread seems popular this weather, we have just completed a live action series of commercials for Veda Malt Loaf. TDP commissioned us to produce a series of commercials which will celebrate the 50th year of Veda being sold in Northern Ireland. Check them out in "Our Work".

Genesis Advertising have commissioned 20 ten second stings for Brennans Bread. This brand which is a market leader in the south of Ireland is now pushing north. Airing in batches of 4 these stings will be seen on UTV during UTV Life. Check them out in "Our Work".

We are very proud to announce that Ardmore Advertising were awarded 2 Shark Awards for the NIFRS commercials we completed for them.

Streetmonkey documented the recent Northern Ireland Showcase in Washington DC, The event which ran over many days showed Northern Ireland to the world. Fire IMC organized a intensive programme which we filmed in 720P HD Resolution.

Congratulations to Graham who is a daddy for the first time. Baby Max was born on the 3rd of September, mother and baby are in good health.

Lack of updates here is due to some pretty major jobs on our plates at the moment, rest assured whenever the chaos settles we will update the site.

We have just updated all our suites with the new version of After Effects which supports the latest 8core intel macs.

Dermot was recently interviewed for a feature on Channel 4's "4 Talent" web site. He'd like us to point out that they stretched his photograph (his head isn't quite as wide in real life), and that the journalist was entirely responsible for all the hilarious, monkey-themed puns that feature prominently in the article. It's been quite a while since we updated our site - sorry about that! We're in a transitional phase at the moment while we get all our new 8-core Intel workstations up and running. We had a good spring clean at the same time so the site suffered a bit from lack of news. Rest assured that we've been really busy!

So what's been happening here? Work-wise it has been a heavy 3D couple of months. Take a look in "Our Work" to see the latest additions. We have a new full-time editor (Andrew Keil) and we are getting to grips with a flurry of new software packages and updates including PhotoShop CS3 and FCPStudio 2.

Just a quick note to say that the FCP position has now been filled. There sure are a lot of you people out there. We will be contacting all applicants personally by email in time.

Streetmonkey is looking for a staff member who has strengths using 3D software and compositing. Knowledge of After Effects is required, Cinema 4D experience would be beneficial but not essential. The selected person will have the opportunity for training using Cinema 4D but will require a high level of understanding in a similar 3D package. Interested parties should contact us as soon as possible.

Streetmonkey is now looking for some extra expertise. We are looking for a person with a high level of experience in FCP and medium to high level ability in After Effects. You will be expected to produce work to a high level of commercial finish in short timeframes. If you fit the bill and are interested in joining our small team for a trial run please contact us at your earliest opportunity.

We have just received delivery of 4 new Octomacs (8 core Intel Xeon Mac Pro workstations) and widescreen panels. This significant muscle will benefit everyone, allowing faster workflow / rendering etc. Coupled with the imminent release of Final Cut Studio 2 we are very excited with the increased potential of these 8 core monsters.

We were honoured to be awarded the trophy for Best Production Company in Northern Ireland at the PANI Awards, held on Wednesday night in the Culloden Hotel. In addition to Best Production Company, Streetmonkey picked up two awards for our work with BBC Northern Ireland: a gold "TV Craft" award for our animation work in their "Local Comedy" promo and a bronze award for our post-production work on their "Home Grown" promo, which had already won a Shark Award for the BBC last year.

We were also delighted that the PANI's "Grand Prix" was awarded to Ardmore Advertising for their NI Fire and Rescue Service commercials which, you guessed it, were produced by us. This prize is awarded to the piece of work considered by the London-based judges to be the best to come out of Northern Ireland in the last two years.

In total, Streetmonkey-produced work picked up TEN, prizes including eight gold awards, on behalf of our clients and we'd like to congratulate and thank them all for their continued support over the last four years. We look forward to helping our clients to win many more awards in the future! A complete breakdown of what we won can be seen in our profile section.

Mark is in Iceland this week visiting a range of agencies to expand on our international portfolio. he will be back in Belfast by the 25th. He is still contact-able by mobile if you need to speak to him.

We have re-arranged our edit suite to accommodate a new PAL broadcast monitor and a 1080P 40" LCD Panel. This allows project viewing on the latest display technology at full HD resolution in realtime. With the combination of these 2 display technologies clients will now be able to colour master to a preferred format and more crucially, be able to see the display differences, strengths and weaknesses of these formats.

You might recognise this gentleman from ITV's Bad Lads Army, not a dude to mess around. This tongue-in cheek set of commercials was commissioned by Ardmore Advertising and was directed by Nigel Bristow of Bel's Boys fame. Click on Recent Work to see the commercials.
